  • 4 onions, finely chopped
  • 4 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 4 tablespoons ghee or oil
  • 4 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoons red chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • 2 teaspoons turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons coriander powder
  • 2 teaspoons cumin powder
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish

Instructions:
  1. In a large bowl, combine the chicken pieces with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat ghee or oil in a large, heavy-bottomed pan or kadai over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
