Ingredients:
  • 2-3 fresh starfruit, sliced thin
  • Salt
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • Oil for frying
  • 2 cups mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:
  1. Sprinkle salt on the sliced starfruit and set them aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs and garlic powder (if using).
  3. Dredge each slice of starfruit in flour, shaking off any excess.
  4. Dip each slice of starfruit in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to make sure the breadcrumbs stick.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the starfruit slices until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Remove the starfruit slices from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.
